ANTON WIRJONO COMPANY THE GOODS DEPT INDUSTRY CONSUMER SELECTED 2013 COUNTRY INDONESIA Jakarta native Anton Wirjono founded The Goods Group in 2010 in hopes of becoming the "universal producer of everything cool." Today the chain, which caters to hip, internationally- inclined Indonesians, is fast becoming a major hub for fashion and lifestyle projects from a selection of local and international brands, with more than 60,000 visitors each month. The Goods Group includes The Goods Department retail stores and two restaurant lines, The Goods Café and The Goods Diner, offering casual dining with international menus. In addition, The Goods Department features rotating events such as art exhibitions and screenings that cater to the stores' target demographic. As a popular DJ in Jakarta, Anton pos- sessed a unique fluency in Indonesian pop culture that allowed him to market his brand effectively. Selected as an Endeavor Entrepreneur in 2013 at the 49th Endeavor ISP in Johannesburg, South Africa, Anton has gained access to mentoring that has allowed him to build upon these instincts and scale his business, opening several new stores and employing 440 people.
