JUAN DE ANTONIO COMPANY CABIFY INDUSTRY TRANSPORT & SMART CITIES SELECTED 2015 COUNTRY SPAIN THE JOURNEY OF AN ENDEAVOR ENTREPRENEUR In Spain and Latin America, hailing a taxi is often inefficient and difficult—and at times can be unreliable or unsafe. Alternatives, such as black cars, are expensive. Meanwhile, drivers face fluctuating salaries, dependent on an unpredictable stream of passengers. That's why Juan De Antonio co-founded Cabify. With Cabify, a mobile app that connects users with drivers, users can book a car in advance, know the jour- ney's price ahead of time, and enjoy a quality experience. Operating in Southern Europe and Latin America, Cabify aims to push the pedal to the metal and expand rapidly in these regions over the coming years. Cabify was selected by Endeavor in April 2015 at the 58th International Selection Panel in Santiago. Since then, Endeavor has helped Juan scale Cabify in Latin America through connections with mentors and advisors in the region, as well as a four month consultancy project with six MBA students from Georgetown University. The company now operates in Argentina, Brazil, Colombia, Ecuador, Mexico, Panama, Peru, Portugal, Spain, and Uruguay, and plans to continue its growth. Endeavor also helped Juan raise $120 million in a series C round—the larg- est technology funding in Spain on record.
