With approximately 85% of Mexican consumers lacking access to formal short-term credit, Adal co-founded Kueski to breach this gap. Kueski addresses this huge market need through its one-of-a-kind online-only consumer lending platform specializing in micro-loans of up to usd$450. Launched in 2013, Kueski uses a complex risk algorithm based on multiple data sources to assess credit worthiness, and approves and delivers loans in a matter of minutes online, 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Using techno- logical tools designed in-house, Kueski is able to reach customers that are often deemed unsuit- able to receive loans by other financial institutions that rely on traditional methods to determine eligibility. Selected as an Endeavor Company in 2015, Kueski has emerged as a true innovator in the financial services industry in Mexico. e company has become the fastest growing plat- form of its kind in the region and has already granted more than 200,000 loans. In April 2016, Kueski closed a $35 million round of equity and debt funding - the largest capital funding ever for a fintech company in Mexico. e $10 million equity invest- ment was co-led by Richmond Global Ventures, Rise Capital, CrunchFund and VARIV Capital, with participation from Endeavor Catalyst.
