5 YLAN STEINER Orrick, Herrington & Sutcliffe United Kingdom ANDY TSAO Silicon Valley Bank United States Ylan is a partner in the Technology Company Group of Orrick Herrington & Sutcliffe where he covers a broad range of corporate and private equity transactions, with particular emphasis on venture / growth financings, management buyouts, secondary transactions and a full range of related exits. Following an earlier career as a computer programmer/software consultant, Ylan has extensive experience within the technology industry and also advises a number of growth companies on their corporate and financing requirements. Recognized as a leading individual in both Legal 500 and Chambers UK, Ylan is also a regular speaker at seminars and conferences and a member of the Practitioners Advisory Board for the Masters Degree in Corporate Law at the University of Cambridge. Andy is a Managing Director at SVB and leads SVB's Global Gateway, which assists innovation companies in emerging markets with their US and international market expansion. In addition, Andy leads SVB Global Private Equity Services, working with SVB's international private equity and venture capital clients, particularly those in emerging markets. He brings more than 20 years of experience banking dynamic companies in technology industries worldwide. Previously, he led and helped found SVB's U.K.-based operation. For six years, he was responsible for building senior debt relationships with high-growth technology, life sciences, and clean technology companies in the UK and Europe. Prior to joining Silicon Valley Bank in 1997, Tsao was a technology lender at BankBoston, and BayBank in Burlington, Mass. Tsao earned a bachelor's degree from Colgate University and an MBA from Boston University.
