14 CHRISTOPHER SCHROEDER Independent Investor United States SEBASTIAN SCHULZ Allen & Co United States Christopher Schroeder is an entrepreneur, advisor and investor in interactive technologies and social communications. He is author of the best seller and first book on startups in the Arab World, Startup Rising–The Entrepreneurial Revolution Remaking the Middle East–with a forward by Marc Andreessen. Schroeder was the CEO and Publisher of washingtonpost. newsweek interactive and co-founder of the Silicon Valley venture capital backed startup HealthCentral.com, sold in 2012. He is an investor in disruptive enterprises including Vox Media, Skift, Quibb, iBotta, Zignal Labs, and Segovia among others, and is an LP in leading Silicon Valley venture capital funds. He is on the Investment Committee of The Wamda Fund, one of the largest venture capital funds in the Middle East. He was named one of LinkedIn's first 50 Influencers. He graduated from Harvard College and Harvard Business School. Sebastian is a Vice-President at Allen & Co, where he serves as a long-term strategic advisor and investor to consumer internet, tech and media companies. Prior to joining Allen & Co, he was an Associate at J.P. Morgan in London. Sebastian earned a B.S. in Management & Finance from European Business School Oestrich-Winkel. DAVE SACK Radian Venture Capital United States Dave is an Associate at Radian Capital. Prior to joining Radian, Dave worked with growth- stage entrepreneurs at Catalyst Investors, focusing on education, healthcare, and IT services. Dave received degrees in Economics and Latin American Studies from Yale University. When he's not working, Dave hosts dinner parties, plays bluegrass fiddle (poorly & proudly) and skis. CHRIS ROGERS Lumia Capital United States Chris Rogers is a partner at Lumia Capital. Previously, he was the co-founder of Nextel Communications (acquired by Sprint for $35 billion) and its two predecessor companies. Most recently, Chris served as Senior Vice President, Corporate Development and Spectrum, at Sprint where he evaluated and executed strategic initiatives, including mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, equity investments and joint ventures within the mobile communication and e-commerce sectors. He also was responsible for management and oversight of wireless spectrum licenses and Sprint's portfolio of emerging technology investments. Prior to the 2005 Sprint acquisition, Chris was Co-Founder and Senior Vice President of Nextel Communications, Inc. In this role, Chris helped to spearhead the roll-up of local carriers that transformed Nextel into a major national operator.
