IN 2012, ENDEAVOR LAUNCHED its first Southeast Asian affiliate in Jakarta, Indonesia. With a population of 240 million and an economy roaring back from the '98 Asian Financial Crisis, Indonesia has captured the attention of international investors. But with growth (6.5% in 2011) fueled primar- ily by rising global commodity prices, the country needs high-impact entrepreneurship to sustain its ambi- tious development goals. In a recent BBC study on citizens' perception of entrepreneurship in their countries, Indonesia ranked first — above the U.S., China, and India — as a favor- able place to start new businesses. Endeavor is excited to build on this optimism by helping Indonesia's high-impact entrepreneurs become the next superstars of Asia.

THE KINGDOM OF SAUDI ARABIA is Endeavor's 5th affiliate in the Middle East and North Africa. The largest market in MENA, Saudi Arabia is transforming itself to be among the world's top ten most competitive economies. To con- tinue growth, however, the country needs to diversify the economy's dependence on oil wealth and to create opportunities for the 60% of the population that is below the age of 25. In the past year the government has made significant efforts to develop human capital and encourage entrepreneurship, resulting in increasing numbers of entrepreneurs across multiple sectors. Endeavor looks forward to unleashing high-impact entrepre- neurship in Saudi.

GREECE IS AT a critical juncture in its history. Fiscal mismanage- ment has drastically slowed down the local economy. Unemployment is at a record 21.9% and projected to increase. On a global stage, the country's brand has taken a sig- nificant hit. Greece is in need of jobs and hope. But to whom can it turn to create jobs, when over 95% of Greek companies employ, on average, two people? Endeavor Greece believes that high-impact entrepreneurs are the answer. By providing Greece's high-impact entrepreneurs with the right mentorship, networks, and access to capital, Endeavor will transform the country's entrepre- neurial ecosystem.
