SPEAKERS Manju Bansal leads SAP's effort to engage with the startup community worldwide and build its innovation ecosystem. He is Vice President and Global Head of SAP Startup Focus, the accelerator program that helps promising startups in the big data, predictive and real-time analytics space develop new applications on SAP technology and accelerate market traction. Since joining SAP in 2007, Manju has held leadership roles in solution marketing, the SME business and ecosystem & channel marketing. Previously, he was the founder of Thinknotes, an innovative content delivery platform that connected consumers, physicians and pharmaceutical companies and created personalized content repositories to help consumers manage their unique medical situations. Manju is an SAP Mentor and an Industry Mentor at the Easton Technology Management Center at UCLA. He holds an MBA from the Anderson School at UCLA with additional executive education completed at the Harvard Business School. Phil is a Silicon Valley veteran, with more than 35 years of experience building and leading breakout technology companies. Phil co-founded Marketo in 2006 and led the company as Chairman and CEO for a decade, overseeing its successful IPO and acquisition by Vista Equity Partners. Prior to Marketo, Phil served as president and COO of Epiphany, an enterprise customer relationship management (CRM) software company. Phil holds a bachelor's degree in history from Stanford University and sits on the boards of PTC (Nasdaq: PTC) and several growth stage private companies in Silicon Valley and New York City. As a Venture Partner, Phil works closely with entrepreneurs in Shasta's portfolio as they scale their companies and address critical growth decisions. Jason is a Founder and General Partner of Emergence Capital and been in the venture business for over 20 years. He has been an early investor in leading companies such as ServiceMax (acq. by GE), Box (BOX IPO), Yammer (acq. by MSFT), SteelBrick (acq. by CRM), SuccessFactors (IPO and acq. by SAP), Visual Networks (VNWK), DoubleClick (DLCK/Google), and aQuantive (AQNT/MSFT) among others. Jason was the Founding Chairman for the Kauffman Fellows Program, Founding Board member of Endeavor and served on the board of the National Venture Capital Association. Jason was named to the Forbes Top 100 Venture Capitalists Midas List 2017. Before founding Emergence, Jason was a General Partner with USVP and an associate and Kauffman Fellow with Venrock. Jason graduated cum laude with a B.A. in Economics from Dartmouth College and an M.B.A. from Harvard with Distinction.
