He is committed to making sure entrepreneurs of all backgrounds have access to advice and capital in order to make their business succeed. Brian holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer and Information Science from Northeastern University and an MBA from F.W. Olin Graduate School of Business at Babson College and has been selected as a Management Leadership for Tomorrow (MLT) Fellow, Babson Fellow, and Springworks Scholar. Prior to business school, Brian started his career as a software engineer at Citigroup through their selective IT analyst training program and has worked as a product and project manager at Education First and Babyzone (Acquired by Disney Inc.). He has founded multiple technology start-up companies and enjoys working with founders and accelerator programs. Bastiaan is Director of New Ventures for AXA, the global insurance company and in charge of sourcing technology partners, investment targets, and acquisitions. Bastiaan started his career working in strategy consulting and private equity. Bastiaan received his Masters in Management from the London School of Economics and PhD in Business Economics from the University of Cambridge. He contributes to AXA's endeavors in developing new business models that provide unique customer experiences that give AXA a sustainable competitive advantage. These new business models can leverage new partnerships, strategic acquisitions & investments, and AXA's own IP. Steven is Executive Director for Tencent's Exploration Team leading investments in the United States. Before joining Tencent, Steven was Vice President of M&A at Yahoo and growth investor at Institutional Venture Partners. He is an active angel investor and currently lives in San Francisco, CA. Arjuna Costa is a partner at Omidyar Network where he leads the firm's Financial Inclusion investments across emerging markets, including Africa, Latin America, and Southeast Asia. He leads Omidyar Network's investments and has a board role in a number of innovative financial services companies, including Cignifi, Lenddo, MicroEnsure, Pagatech, RUMA, Segovia Technology, and Zoona. Before joining Omidyar Network, Arjuna consulted with Bankable Frontier Associates to the Gates Foundation analyzing the economics of delivering savings products. Prior to that role, he was a member of the special situations investment practice at The Rohatyn Group, a multi-billion dollar emerging markets investment firm. In 2003, Arjuna co-founded Africa International Financial Holdings LLC, a $115-million private equity fund focused on the turnaround of distressed commercial banks. Arjuna began his career at Lehman Brothers, where he spent five years in the power and transportation groups. Arjuna earned an MBA from Harvard Business School and a BA in computer science from Columbia University.
