Sara focuses primarily on representing high growth technology companies in general formation, venture capital and private equity financings, and mergers and acquisitions. Prior to law school, Sara worked in the field of sport for development in Uganda, where she worked with mostly refugees from the Democratic Republic of the Congo and Sudan. She holds a bachelor's degree from Princeton University and a JD from Boston College Law School. Darlene Chiang is a member of Orrick's Technology Companies Group in both the San Francisco and Silicon Valley offices. Having worked in-house at a biometric payment start-up, a publicly traded IoT company, and a Korean-headquartered Fortune 50 semiconductor company, she is fluent with the critical business issues her clients deal with every day. Darlene provides her clients with practical legal solutions to resolve these issues as they progress through their critical life cycle milestones from formation and subsequent financing to successful exit. Janice Dow is an Associate in the Technology Companies group at Orrick, Herrington & Sutcliffe LLP, where she works with start-ups and high-growth tech companies from formation, to financing, to exit. Furthermore, she is certified through CIPP/US as an Information Privacy Professional. Janice graduated from Berkeley Law, where she served as an Executive Editor on the California Law Review, and from the University of Pennsylvania, where she earned a double major in English and Communication, magna cum laude. Before law school, Janice worked as a Market Research Associate at Lieberman Research Worldwide and as a Corporate Paralegal at Wachtell, Lipton, Rosen & Katz. She is conversant in both Mandarin and Cantonese Chinese.
