27 Bob and Joe McClure recognize three committed employees who grew with the company and were an integral part of the McClure's success. Sam Nason, Wayne Wise, and Lionel Crump joined McClure's when the company was founded 10 years ago. In those early days, production involved 10-hour shifts, yielding 200 jars of pickles—cut, filled, capped and labeled by hand. Each of these founding employees served in entry level roles like line/production workers, forklift drivers, delivery personnel, and all around team members earning $8.00 per hour, just above minimum wage at the time. Through internal training and development, they now oversee a team of 30 producing over 7,000 jars per day, almost fully automated in an 8-hour shift, 5 days a week. Sam, Wayne, and Lionel have grown with McClure's and remain a vital resource for the company. MCCLURE'S: TALENT GROWS FROM WITHIN When Ryan MacVoy and Kelly MacVoy Guffey began to reinvent their family business, they made a commitment to altering the stereotype of manufacturing jobs. Leveraging Ryan's long history in the business and Kelly's experience in high tech and consumer products in Silicon Valley, they started by designing an inclusive culture within the team. This led to offering tuition reimbursement and strategic partnerships to support higher education and access to manufacturing certifications. The team members who most leverage these programs come from the DWM Holdings production team. Many use this opportunity to compliment in-house cross-training to grow into higher positions within the company, earning higher wages. DWM HOLDINGS: TALENT DEVELOPMENT FOR UPWARD MOBILITY DWM HOLDINGS IS DEDICATED TO ALTERING THE STEREOTYPE OF MANUFACTURING JOBS AND » provides tuition reimbursement » offers competitive wages in the skilled trades field » has developed a comprehensive cross-training program for professional growth and development » partners with Macomb Community College Applied Technology & Skilled Trades Program to cultivate their talent pool
