Jonathan Norris is a managing director of sales origination for Silicon Valley Bank. Norris oversees business development efforts for banking and lending opportunities as well as spearheading strategic relationships with many life science and healthcare venture capital firms. He also helps SVB Capital through sourcing and advising on limited partnership allocations. In addition, he speaks at major investor and industry conferences and authors widely cited analyses of healthcare venture capital trends. Norris has more than sixteen years of banking experience working with healthcare companies and venture capital firms. Norris earned a bachelor's degree in business administration from the University of California, Riverside and a juris doctorate from Santa Clara University. SILICON VALLEY BANK Jon Norris Managing Director Greg is a partner at Menlo Ventures, and focuses on life science and digital health technology investments. Prior to Menlo, Greg was entrepreneur-in-residence at Illumina Ventures, where he focused on new investments related to genomics, and CEO and cofounder of PyrAmes, a digital health company. Previously, Greg was CEO and cofounder of Biodesy, a next-generation protein analysis company. Greg has also worked at Roche Diagnostics / Ventana, where he led a global market-leading cancer diagnostic assay business, serving 20 million patients and delivering $500 million revenue per year. Greg's prior experience also includes roles as the first healthcare entrepreneur-in-residence at GE, chief operating officer at Cellpoint Diagnostics, an early liquid biopsy startup, vice president and general manager for genetics and molecular diagnostics at Affymetrix, and consultant for McKinsey & Company. Greg received his AB in molecular biology (summa cum laude) from Princeton University, and his MBA from Stanford University's Graduate School of Business. Greg is a Bay Area native and has lived in 11 cities in the area. He serves on the board of Outward Bound California, and loves all manner of outdoor activities with his family, including backpacking and snowboarding. His favorite sport is basketball. MENLO VENTURES Greg Yap Partner Alejandro is the Co-Founder & CEO of Miroculus, a JLabs QB3@953 and Stanford StartX company, providing hands-off sample-to-answer solutions for molecular testing. Alejandro graduated from the Faculty of Economics & Business, Universidad de Chile and completed his B&A studies at the Grand Ecole de Commerce (ESSEC), Paris. He was selected together with 79 more outstanding individuals to attend the graduate studies program of Singularity University 2013 in Nasa Ames. Prior to joining Miroculus, he acted as the CEO of a high tech company in LATAM while working at a Venture Capital Fund. He has taken executive and board positions in a number of different companies. He holds various awards and recognitions including MIT TR35; Standford, StartX entrepreneur; Johnson & Johnson, JLabs 16' entrepreneur; 100 young leaders 15', among others.
