JUAN DE ANTONIO
Spain, Cabify
I am Cabify's Founder and CEO. I majored in Telecommunication Engineering in 2002
at Universidad Politécnica in Madrid. That is where I first got exposed to technology
and entrepreneurship, learning how to overcome technical challenges to bring to the
market innovative services. Thanks to a Fulbright scholarship, I completed my education
with an MBA in 2010 at Stanford University. There, I got more aggressively exposed to
entrepreneurial opportunities.
On my previous life before starting Cabify, I worked in companies like Ericsson, BCG and Zero Motorcycles. During all
those years, I tried to combine a passion for learning with a drive to have a positive impact in our environment. All my
family as far I as I have been able to trace back, comes from a small village called La Velilla, in the municipality of Pedraza,
province of Segovia (small means less than 200 people live there). It's only 125 Km. away from Madrid, where I spent
most of my childhood. Balancing my love for outdoors with the concrete of a big city is something I still struggle with.
Nowadays, when I am not on a plane flying between the cities where Cabify has operations, I am either surfing empty
breaks or discovering new trails in the wilderness with my wife and my two dogs.
