18 ERICK PADILLA HSBC Mexico Erick is the Fintech & Innovation Lead at HSBC Retail Banking and Wealth Management. In this role he is primarily responsible for the Open Banking project, engaging with the fintech ecosystem, developing partnerships and digital transformation. Erick holds a bachelor's degree in industrial engineering from Instituto Politécnico Nacional. BRADLEY SELBY Weathering Steel LLC United States Brad began his career during the boom & bust of the late 1990s in the Silicon Valley. He recently served as the Chief Development Officer for Affirm, the leading point-of-sale fintech lender founded alongside his friend and former PayPal colleague Max Levchin. After years building the core business units at Affirm, from its inception to billions in responsible consumer loan originations, Brad now spends time supporting startups and larger companies on new product releases. Previously, he led teams at Flixster (acquired by Warner Bros.), Roost (Deluxe), and Audible (Amazon). He attended Oxford and Stanford. BEATRIZ SANCHEZ Fiinlab by Gentera Mexico ALFREDO RABELL MAÑÓN Ve por Más Mexico Beatriz is the Fintech M&A Manager at Gentera, a Mexican bank and the largest microfinance institution in Latin America. Having worked 10+ years across different divisions of Gentera, Beatriz is committed to financial inclusion and inspired to improve the quality of life of her clients. In her current role, she is focused on investing in and acquiring fintech companies that can contribute to Gentera's mission. Alfredo received his Master's of Science in Business Administration from Instituto Tecnológico de Estudios Superiores de Monterrey, and is a PhD candidate in Financial Science at aforementioned institution. As a Public Accountant, he led the department of Credit and Mortgage Operation at Infonavit, where he developed and launched new products like Infonavit Total, Emprendedor Certificado, and Cofinavit Anualidades Garantizadas. He also held various director-level roles related to analysis and financial decisions at Grupo Financiero Banamex and BBVA Bancomer. He is currently responsible for the General Management of Commercial Development at Grupo Financiero Bx+.
