// Endeavor Miami Impact Report 2019 Top 6 Mentors Alongside his partners, Daniel founded more than 15 tech startups from 1999 to 2015, creating more than 500 jobs and US$200million in revenues. In 2015, Daniel sold his last company, Scup, to Sprinklr, the global leader in their space (Social Media Management). After working with Sprinklr as the General Manager for Latin America for the last couple of years, Daniel embarked on a new venture in the Fitness Tech space with W12 Global. In late 2018, Daniel moved on the EVP ABC International. As of January 2020, Daniel is a General Partner at WCI Capital. As an Endeavor Mentor and panelist since 2009, Daniel has helped many of his fellow entrepreneurs into the network to achieve new levels of growth and success. Why did you decide to become a mentor with Endeavor Miami? "I was already a mentor with Endeavor in São Paulo-Brazil, since 2009. When I moved to Miami in 2013, it was right when Endeavor was starting here, so it was natural to continue the work with this amazing group of people." What is the best advice you would give to a company looking to scale? "Scaling is not easy at all, it takes a ton of really hard work. Your best shot is having great clarity of vision, razor sharp focus, and people in your team that have done it somewhere before." What do you think is the direction the Miami entrepreneurial ecosystem will be following in the next year? And how do you see Endeavor as a player in this trajectory? "Since I started working with Endeavor here in 2013 the ecosystem has only grown, and seems to be growing faster each year. More skilled entrepreneurs, more capital, more mentors. I love the diversity of people, companies and segments you can find here, it's quite unique and extremely promising. Endeavor has played a key role in helping this ecosystem to thrive and I see this role expanding even further." Daniel Heise General Partner at WCI Capital WCI Capital Value-oriented private investment firm focused on control and inf luencing positions in small-cap businesses and real estate properties in the US and Canada. "Scaling is not easy at all. Your best shot is having great clarity of vision, razor sharp focus, and people in your team that have done it somewhere before."
