8 JEFFREY ROGERS As a speaker, facilitator, and workshop designer, Jeffrey Rogers brings an interdisciplinary and systems-oriented approach to exploring the question of what it means to live and to lead in an era of accelerating change. Jeffrey is a multi-modal educator and conversation catalyst who creates unique learning experiences that build knowledge while also building community through collaboration, storytelling, and play. He's been a top-rated moderator of immersive executive education programs and international summits for Singularity University since 2017 and has also been featured as a guest lecturer and workshop leader at the UC Berkeley Haas School of Business, the Hasso Plattner Institute of Design at Stanford, and the Empowerment Summit (at ECAL in Lausanne), and Brand Minds 2019 in Bucharest. Previously, Jeffrey spent a decade building learning and development solutions, consulting on a couple of e-learning startups, and designing and delivering experiential youth leadership programs. He's a social scientist by training (UC Berkeley, UT Austin) and a future-focused educator--with abiding interests in leadership, human ecology & complexity--by calling. KEVIN RYAN Kevin P. Ryan is one of the leading Internet entrepreneurs in New York, having founded and is Chairman of several businesses, including MongoDB, Zola, Workframe and Nomad Health. Previously he founded and was Chairman of Business Insider and GILT. Combined, these companies have raised more than $500 million in venture capital funding and currently employ almost 2,000 people. Previously, Kevin helped build DoubleClick from 1996 to 2005, first as President and later as CEO. He led DoubleClick's growth from a 20-person startup to a publicly traded global leader with over 1,500 employees. In 2013, Kevin was named one of "The 100 Most Influential New Yorkers of the Past 25 Years" by the Observer. Aside from his professional responsibilities, Kevin serves on the board of Yale Corporation, is Vice Chairman of The Partnership for New York City, Chairman of the Partnership for New York City's Innovation Council, is a member of the CFR Committee on Foreign Affairs, is a Director for The Trust for Governors Island and is on the Board of TECH:NYC. He previously served on the boards of Human Rights Watch, INSEAD, the Direct Marketing Association, The Ad Council, HotJobs and the advisory board of Doctors Without Borders. JOSH SILVERMAN Josh Silverman is an entrepreneurial executive who has built and run some of the world's most loved consumer technology companies. He is currently the CEO of Etsy, a publicly-traded ecommerce marketplace specializing in vintage and handmade goods. Previously, he was at American Express as President, US Consumer Services, an Executive Officer of the company with responsibility for the US consumer card and global consumer travel businesses; and is a member of the company's Operating Committee, the principal policy and decision-making group that oversees all of Amex's businesses. Previously Mr Silverman was the CEO of Skype. During his 2.5 year tenure, Skype added more than 300 million users, became ubiquitous across mobile and consumer electronic devices, doubled revenues and tripled profits, while growing to account for 25% of the world's international calling minutes. Prior to Skype Mr. Silverman served as CEO of Shopping.com, held senior executive roles at eBay and was Co- Founder and CEO of Evite, which he led from inception through its sale to Barry Diller's IAC. BILL VEGHTE A veteran technology executive, Bill has built some of the world's largest consumer and business products available today. In doing so, he's led businesses and teams that have changed the world. Most recently, Bill served as Hewlett-Packard's Executive Vice President of the Enterprise Group. Prior to that role, he was HP's Chief Operating Officer, where he defined strategy and enabled operational excellence across the company. He first joined HP in 2009 as Chief Strategy Officer and Executive Vice President of HP Software. In 1990, Bill joined Microsoft as one of the first four people assigned to develop what became Microsoft Office. He spent two decades at the company in a variety of senior leadership positions where he oversaw business and consumer product development, sales and marketing. After he established Office and worked on its first two releases, Bill went on to lead other businesses including Windows and Windows Server. Bill sits on the Board of Directors at VMTurbo and Xero. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in East Asian studies from Harvard University.
